Ohio is a Fine State: Robert Merashoff

Growing up around Pittsburgh, Robert Merashoff never really thought much about Ohio. He knew the state wasn’t far to the west, but he had everything he needed in Pennsylvania. There’s no reason to think about any other state when you’re growing up in PA. It wasn’t until later on in life that Robert Merashoff discovered that Ohio was going to play a significant role in his professional life.

After earning a degree in CADD and mechanical engineering from Triangle Tech in Pittsburgh, Robert Merashoff was hired by the Department of Energy. While at the Department of Energy, Robert Merashoff worked in Morgantown, West Virginia. After spending six years working for the Federal Government, Robert Merashoff decided it was time to take his experience and skills elsewhere.

He worked for a company in a county bordering Ohio in southwestern Pennsylvania that dealt with leasing land for the huge shale boom that started a few years ago. Not long after that, Robert Merashoff was spending more time in Ohio when he became a managing member of Pleasant View Management Ohio.

During his time in Ohio, Robert Merashoff realized that the state was somewhat similar to Pennsylvania but still had plenty of differences. Some of the main industries were different, the terrain was similar but had a slightly different feeling about it, and the communities had a different feel about them.

Overall, however, Robert Merashoff felt that Ohio was a decent state. For as populous as it is, it still felt fairly rural in many areas that he visited during his work. Robert Merashoff enjoyed his time in Ohio and expects to continue working there for quite some time. If he has more free time in the future, he wants to check out some of the bigger metropolitan areas of Ohio, like Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Columbus.

Robert Merashoff is Proud of Saving the Farm Award

In the world of business, there are plenty of legitimate and respectful businessmen. Oftentimes, these people don’t get nearly the attention they should. This is especially true when there are a few bad apples in a business or industry that give the entire group a bad reputation.

In the heated business that’s going on around the big shale gas boom all over the country, some businesses have been performing questionably. Robert Merashoff is upset that a lot of people think that everyone involved in the U.S. energy boom is out to be cutthroat and take as much money as they can. He knows this isn’t the case, especially since he is a fair person who works to help landowners get the right leases and contracts they need to benefit the most people.

Robert Merashoff has been working in the energy industry dealing with land contracts and leases for over 5 years now. He has learned a great deal in those five years and uses that knowledge to get great deals in the western Pennsylvania and Ohio areas for his clients. There is a lot of money to be made out there during this shale gas boom, if you have the right people working with you. That goes for corporations and landowners as well.

Robert Merashoff hopes to continue working for both MoneyforMinerals.com and Pleasant View Management Ohio for the foreseeable future. He enjoys the work and especially enjoys the opportunities like the time he won the Saving the Farm Award from MoneyforMinerals.com.

He earned this award for brokering a deal between family, friends, investors, and the courts to keep the Fava family farm safe from foreclosure and bankruptcy. Robert Merashoff felt great that he was able to be an important part of keeping a 400-acre farm in a family’s future that had been there well into the past.
